Built the direct sales and marketing division for a top LGBTQ+ website and its network, prospecting and securing national advertising and marketing partners, resulting in growth of 15x. Extended and secured new client categories, creating campaigns for: automotive, destinations, consumer health, consumer tech, theatre, hotels and entertainment.

• Created customized integrated campaigns; cross-platform branded content, advertising, promotions, consumer engagement and offline activations.

• Developed client-specific plans, proposals and presentations, using company-specific and targeted data, deep market knowledge and trends, and represented the company nationwide.

Pipestone Entertainment LLC, Los Angeles, CA • 2006-2011

Principal/Founder

Founded and built a marketing communications team of 4 people, representing major entertainment studios, collecting and analyzing large data pools, directing and expanding client initiatives, managing vendors, and securing marketing partnerships with all major national theatre circuits exhibiting family, inspirational and kids films.

Exceeded yearly goals annually by 20% for the oldest (at that time, largest) film festival  and year-round programming in Los Angeles, over three signature festivals.

• Secured all national and regional corporate sponsorship, and managed major donor funding, for all year-round programming and events. Managed all sponsored activations.

• Created, sold and managed unique activations, value-added programs and sponsorship opportunities.

• Expanded and delivered funding for a new film preservation partnership launch with UCLA, and the first LGBTQ people of color film festival.

• Put Gay.com on the map in less than one year, with the first national LGBT diversity campaign across race and gender, parenting and seniors.

• Initiated the term “Community” for an online gathering of like-minded readers and contributors, replacing the industry standard term “online affinity portal.”

• Created all branding and secured non-profit partnership sponsorships to create the largest media presence at the 2000 March On Washington.
